Restore Integrity - We must restore the integrity of the Social Security Trusts Fund, converting it from drawers full of IOUs back into real assets upon which retirees can rely.
Stop the Raid on Social Security - The Social Security fund continues to be raided to balance the budget. Toni supports an end to this practice to keep our promise made to senior citizens. We need to quit spending what we don’t have!
End Benefits to Illegal Aliens - We must stop the practice of paying benefits to illegal aliens who have not contributed to the system.
Stop Taxation of Social Security Benefits - We must stop taxing Social Security benefits as income. The benefits were created by taxes recipients already paid. Double taxation is unfair.

So you think that Tim Holden and the Democrats will save Social Security?
Let’s review what the Democrats have done to Social Security over the past 40 years or so:
Lyndon Johnson and a Democrat-controlled House and Senate took Social Security from the independent "Trust Fund" and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it, leaving file drawers full of IOUs.
Jimmy Carter and a Democrat Congress voted to give Social Security annuity payments to immigrants who had not paid into the system.
The Democratic Congress, with Vice President Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" vote, started taxing Social Security annuities in 1993 as part of the largest tax increase in American history. Tim Holden voted for that tax increase.
So, after violating the original Social Security contract with Americans and taxing their benefits, Tim Holden and the Democrats want you to believe that Republicans will take away your Social Security. It would be laughable if it weren’t so dishonest and sad.
